At Mac Physio, we our specifically trained in clinical Pilates.
Pilates was originally developed by Joseph Pilates in the 1920’s. It is a conditioning exercise programme that targets the deep postural muscles of the abdomen and spine to improve overall central core stability and posture.
Clinical Pilates applies carefully selected exercises to patients with specific injuries, this ensures optimal gains whilst minimizing the likelihood of injury aggravation. Every programme is different & individual to your needs whether it is to resolve back pain, enhance your training or improve your turnout!
A 1:1 sessions allows screening to identify the cause of the injury, not just the injury itself. At your first session you can expect a full assessment and tailored programme as well as time to discuss the important key elements which are the foundation of Pilates: Concentration, centering, breathing, isolation, routine, precision, control and flowing movement.
