Martin Cunningham

Co-Director, Physiotherapist

Bio

Martin is originally from Belfast & brings a long and successful career in the NHS, private sector and sports physiotherapy to Mac Physio.

Martin’s focus is musculoskeletal and orthopaedic physiotherapy where he has extensive experience in the management and treatment of spinal, peripheral and sports injuries.

He has worked Private practice in Australia and in full time in professional Rugby for two seasons with Glasgow Warriors and Scottish Rugby Union. He was also volunteered for the London 2012 Paralympics team assisting with poly clinics, wheelchair basketball and volleyball.
His passion lies in helping clients achieve an accurate diagnosis, reduction in their pain and rehabilitation of clients back to health or onward referral to the right specialist should physiotherapy not be the right answer.

Annika Cunningham

Co – Director, Physiotherapist, Pilates instructor

Bio

Annie qualified as a Physiotherapist in 2006 and has a wealth of experience treating musculoskeletal & orthopaedic conditions, she has worked in NHS, sport and private settings across England, Scotland, and Australia.

She is highly skilled in Clinical Pilates and uses this as a form of rehabilitation with her Physio clients, as well as running popular mat classes and private 1:1 equipment sessions at their studio in Stourbridge.
She is also fully trained in both Ante & Post Natal Pilates & Osteoporosis management.

Her main aim is to reduce the fear of movement, help people understand their pain and encourage return to normal function.

Nicki Rayner

Administrative assistant

Bio

Nicki will probably be the first person you speak to when you get in touch with us, she has been part of the team since 2017 & helps manage all our bookings, enquiries & phone calls.

Nicki has a wealth of experience in customer service and will be happy to help you with anything you need.

Sophia Rose

Physiotherapist & Pilates Instructor

Bio

Sophia works both in the NHS and private sector. She has a wealth of knowledge in the management and treatment of chronic low back pain and post-surgical rehabilitation. She has a particularly keen interest in treating back, neck, shoulder and knee sporting-related injuries, this passion stems from her own experience in competitive Boxing where she holds her coaching ABA level one certification.

Sophia is also qualified in Clinical Pilates, and acupuncture & has further training in Women’s health.

Kiri Mills

Bio

Kiri runs our Saturday morning classes. She is an experienced Pilates teacher with a background in dance and weight lifting. From this experience, she understands the importance of good form and quality of movements.

Bio

Since graduating from the University of Worcester in 2014 with her Sports Therapy degree, Jodie has worked with a variety of athletes and non-athletes, helping them get back to full fitness and live a pain-free life. She has a wealth of experience managing and treating sporting injuries & has spent many years working alongside Rugby teams keeping them injury free!

Amber Lillie Humphreys

My name is Amber Lillie, lover of creation and of life. I had spent the first half of my 20s exploring the world travelling round Australia & Asia. On my return back to the uk, I studied a fine art in Falmouth, drawing inspiration from the beautiful surrounding and from the human form. I have always been an active person & lover of movement. This lead me down the wonderful path & history of Pilates and the importance of Joseph Pilates genius system of exercises & now I am thoroughly obsessed. I am a level 4 qualified Pilates mat and reformer teacher. Since qualified I have been working in different venues around the West Midlands bringing classical Pilates into a contemporary and safe environment. Igniting & Expressing the gift of movement.

Bio

Sophie is a qualified Sports therapist & has worked in professional and semi-professional rugby and football, as well as in a clinical environment at her previous fast paced clinic in London. She is able to combine her knowledge & high level of quality care alongside her Strength & Conditioning background to rehabilitate clients whether they are office workers to elite athletes. 

Her experience allows her to assess a client’s strengths and weaknesses through the study of muscle imbalance and asymmetry and to provide an individualised structured treatment programme to improve performance and reduce the risk of injury.
